- J Frame — S&W's smallest revolver frame, used on compact carry models.
- K/L Frame — Round Butt — K and L frames share panel dimensions on round-butt models. Not interchangeable with square-butt K/L frames.
- K/L Frame — Square Butt — K and L frames share panel dimensions on square-butt models. Not interchangeable with round-butt K/L frames.
- N Frame — Round Butt — S&W's large-caliber revolver frame (.44 Magnum, .45, .357 N-Frame models).
- X Frame — 500 / 460 Magnum — S&W's largest revolver frame, built for the 500 and 460 Magnum. Not interchangeable with N, K, or L frame grips.
- 3rd Gen Semi-Autos — covers the 39/59/69/900-series and CS Chief's Special compacts. Frame sizes vary by model; confirm your exact model before ordering.
Material & Finish Guide
- Walnut — classic warm-toned hardwood with rich natural grain.
- Rosewood — deeper color and tighter grain, ideal for inlay contrast.
- Acrylic (PMMA) — glossy, durable, and ideal for sharp laser-engraved detail.
Inlay options: silver, brass, bronze. Also available: custom laser engraving, initials, or logos on request.
⚠️ Compatibility note: Smith & Wesson revolver frames (J, K, L, N, X) are not interchangeable with each other, and round-butt grips do not fit square-butt frames or vice versa. If you're unsure which frame or butt style you have, message us before ordering — we confirm fitment for every custom build.
